Generally a great app. The math game with fractions and a corresponding pie chart is hard to tell if the dark sections are counted or empty.

I have never seen an app better than this. It helps improve cognitive ability skills. I am an astronomer, and this is what I do in my free time! If you love learning, than this is the app for you!

I don’t really need the game aspect of the program. Extrinsic accolades aren’t necessary. Scoring isn’t needed. The questions and answers are great! I might like a timer for each question as in a count down.

Very helpful and keeps the brain limber.
  • Better than luminosity

I’ve been doing elevate for a couple weeks and find it much better than luminosity. However since I have visual difficulties I really wish they would not do like print on white background as it takes me three times as long to read some of the details. Other than that it’s been fascinating. And keeps getting better

I gave this app a shot and did the pre-test. As soon as I created my account it took me to a page to either sign out or go pro (pay $40 a year after 2 weeks). Once I signed out and logged back in it still showed me the same two options. I know I can cancel the membership later but I don’t like this type of marketing to be shoved down my throat. They just lost a potential customer!
  • Pretty, but design over function.

The game is nice and I enjoy it. I feel like with a lot of the games they got carried away with design aesthetics, which are very nice indeed, and forget how they will impact the actual function of the brain game itself. Overall, 3 stars. 5for the graphics, though. if the game were purely for fun’s sake, I’d give it more. Not worth paying the prices they charge when the graphics/UI impair my outcome on certain activities. For example, the speed reading exercise gives you single words at a time and each word is centrally located, requiring your eyes to stay centered, but other speed reading exercises I’ve done require your eyes to move across a sentence quickly before that sentence disappears, replaced by another, which feels more organic and natural, since it’s how we actually read. There are other examples, but this one bugged me the most.
