  • Great start but you have to pay

    By Phoenix1990
I have Duolingo & don’t engage much with it since I tend to get bored with quickly, but this app not only gets you comfortable with hearing & reading a word but spelling them too!!! The constant reviews are perfect for keeping my mind refreshed so I can be sure each word sticks. My only hang up is that once I completed about 3 full lessons I suddenly had to pay to go any further. It wouldn’t let me learn new words for a few days. I kept getting the additional features as the only thing to click on which was frustrating. I understand paying for access to extra features, but if you’re not interested & only want the basic lessons provided you should be able to get that. I wouldn’t mind paying one flat rate for access to all the basic lessons, but the idea of an renewing charge to my ITUNES account for everything has me resistant. A larger variety of payment options would be awesome.
  • The only good app for learning European Portuguese

    By Nicole B Garcia
I pay for the premium because I had a Google Play Store Gift card but it's so great. Pretty expensive but I didn't have anything else to buy with it so I decided this was cool and i don't regret it at all
  • Best for Mandarin

    By Starling000
I’ve tried over a dozen apps, and this has by far the most robust Mandarin course for English speakers, including clips of both studio recorded speech and first-language speakers, which gives your comprehension a kick start. It’s also very cheap, $30 for a whole year on special. Duolingo, Pleco, and Standard Mandarin also make great free companion apps.
  • Great Learning Tool

    By likes korean
A lot of repetitions, from different angles, I love the learning with locals feature. A minor complaint, The score keeper, keeps restarting every week , It is nice if it works, as it is now it is just an annoyance. Every thing else is good
  • Crashing

This app is really good if you want to learn another language! It’s free, and it gives you all the necessary knowledge to know how to speak, WRITE, & RECOGNIZE other languages . I love it!

  • Great app poor ads

    By KellyRTn
This is my favorite language learning app. I saw my progress improve! I definitely recommend it, but the way they want you to buy the full version is annoying and a little insulting. When an ad pops up for the full version to make it go away you have to click the “ I’m in my own little world button 😒”.
  • Wow!
