There’s a decent amount of good content on this service, but the app doesn’t work very well. They’ve made some improvements but not really worth it yet.

The Good: I find the app to be very useful. It’s UI isn’t complicated, it has a variety of current and classic anime’s (which makes me happy) and the price point for their subscription is VERY reasonable. The Bad: (this is just my personal opinion) while there is no shortage of anime ranging from good to great I often find myself wanting older anime like orphan, vampire hunter D or speed racer. The Ugly: When I first started my 30 day free trial I had a blast binging on Funimation’s impressive library that was ad free and most of not all anime were English dubbed which was an unexpected bonus. However I ran into trouble when I renewed my subscription only to find that all of a sudden the anime I was viewing was now in Japanese, with a ton of ads and very very VERY slow ad loading to boot. Unbeknownst to me at the time I just renewed through iTunes and was royally screwed when I found out through FunimationNow customer care that they couldn’t do anything to help since my payment was through apple and not the actual Funimation website so now I will have to endure. I’m not gonna sit here & tell anyone not get this app if they enjoy anime like I do. I’m just pointing out my experience with it to let anyone who wants to get it to make very sure to renew through the Funimation website only.

While the FunimationNow app might not be as sleek and stylish as some of the big boys like Netflix it makes up for in access to their huge catalog of content. The app is simple and easy to use and has an appealing layout. The low monthly cost of $5.99 a month for premium access is worth the price due to the huge amount of licensed anime they provide. Being able to legally watch your favorite shows and supporting the company they brought us them is well worth it.
  • Love Funimation, but the app is unbearable

I love everything Funimation has brought to the table, but I'm no longer going to pay for the subscription. •The app pauses multiple times during an episode •the app crashes at least once every three episodes •due to reloading, it takes almost an hour to try and watch 20 minutes worth of an episode I dont know what kind of coding team you have running your app, but you should talk with crunchyrolls team to see who they're going with. Its 2018, streaming shouldnt be this unbearable.
  • I can’t rotate my screen.

This is a great app because I can watch anime legally and it’s dubbed, the only issue I think should be resolved is the issue where I can’t flip the screen. I sometimes am charging my phone and I want to flip the screen but the video stays the same and it’s upside down so please fix that because YouTube and CrunchyRoll do it.

I really enjoy the selection of anime’s on this app. This app has a majority of the anime’s that I was looking for however it doesn’t have Black Butler season 1 and there are something where it says it’s on here but it’s only the title. I would love for more anime’s to be added on. But over all it’s not a bad app.

Tried deleting the app multiple times but it doesn’t allow me to redeem my PAID subscription. It keeps saying on the free version. NEEDS FIX.
