The powerful combination of award-winning apps and a proven method—YNAB’s Four Rules—has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people by teaching them to get control of their finances, stop stressing, and live the life they want to live. A Proven Method—YNAB’s Four Rules Rule One: Give Every Dollar A Job | Be intentional about what you want your money to do before you spend it. Rule Two: Embrace Your True Expenses | Break up larger, less frequent expenses into smaller, manageable amounts. By saving monthly for insurance premiums, holidays, or car repairs, when the time comes, your money is ready and waiting to do its job. Rule Three: Roll With The Punches | When life changes, so must your budget. Make adjustments and move along. Flexible budgets succeed because they’re guilt-free, realistic, and sustainable. Rule Four: Age Your Money | As you repeat the first three rules, you’ll increase the time between earning a dollar and the moment you need to spend it. When your money is at least a month old, you’ll have finally broken the paycheck to paycheck cycle for good. • Excellent

We have been using YNAB for two years. Excellent method, tool and customer service. This app is now very complete and a great companion to the web app. The service is worth every penny. Kudos for Jesse and the YNAB team.
  • Single screen transactions- not a fan. Wish there was an option

    By mrmagpi
Wish I had the choice between a 1 screen or a 2 screen transaction. Prefer the size of the buttons on the old way of entering info. Not a huge fan. Also not a fan of not being able to see transactions within a particular category for more than a month at a time. Old YNAB allowed you to see the entire category across multiple months. Would be fixed by implementing a SEARCH FEATURE on the mobile app. THANKS!
  • Now that we’ve got iPhone X support...

Can’t say there’s much to complain about here. YNAB had changed my life. In the 4 years I’ve been using it, I’ve paid off all CC debt (and learned to use cards correctly - biggest benefit is all my free flights from points), purchased a car and a home. I have an understanding of where my finances are and how I can continue to save. Thanks guys!
  • I hate the new keyboard

    By ItsBader !
App is great, service is great and life changing. Been using it for two years and finally can keep up with my spending and seeing improvement But anyways this is a review of the app not the service and I currently have a few issues 1. My girlfriend and I (she is more enraged than I am) loved how easy it was to change budgets in the old app! Now We have to go through a very long journey just to change the budget! And I have 3 different budgets (sometimes 4 if I am traveling) I wish there was an easy way to switch between them (while we are at it, the web app could use easier budget switching ..). Also, maybe add in a title somewhere which budget I have opened? A few times I have logged in things in the wrong budget, because I didn’t realize I had the wrong one open 2. The keyboard to enter a transaction as of 21st of January. I like the overhaul of the page, I love how everything is in one page, but hate the new keyboard! My eyes bleed every time I look at it .... YNAB has designed such an aesthetically pleasing app, why did they do that!! And it bothers me that the keyboard covers the clear button (yes it’s silly I know). I hope the great developers behind this app can find it in their hearts to make the keyboard visually pleasing ...
  • Best Way To Budget!

    By chesb2
I’ve been a long time YNAB user and don’t see me ever NOT using this awesome budgeting system.
  • Best budgeting app

    By MorganKeefe
We have made back the money we spent on YNAB and then probably hundreds/thousands more. Honestly, it has kept us on the same page financially in our marriage, enabled us to know where every dollar goes, and has made budgeting super convenient. We talk all the time about how grateful we are for it. The new app interface is even better than before and we love it.
  • Okay

    By Ib2005
Price just went up. Still no option to save a pic of receipt and tag it to a charge Please!!!!!!!! This would be a great feature Would be nice if we can take a picture of receipt and tag it to the transaction. Would be willing to pay for storage space
  • Buggy update

    By tempestt88
I like the cleaner look but when I tap on a budget line to edit, the line above is what gets chosen every time. I’m clicking a million times just to get the right line. Please fix!
  • Great improvements with reservation

    By racollins3
Here’s my reservation: it’s subscription based. That gives it pros and cons, but I’m trying to save money here, not sign up for another service. The revision to adding a transaction is great. Everything on the screen. No need to scroll down to clear. Great improvement. The ability to edit budgets on the phone is great. Awesome job. Some might dislike the badge on the app when you bust a budget. I like it. It makes me fix it before I move on. Minus one star due to it being a subscription service.
  • Excellent tool, Please update for iPad Pro 10.5

    By ChipJan
YNAB is fantastic. I have been using for 5+ years now, and it continues to improve. The budgeting concept is unique and a great way to stay on top of finances and be responsible with your funds. Desired update: There are a few features that are only available on the web version. I rely nearly exclusively on iOS, and it would be helpful to have missing features added to the iOS app over time. For example, reconciling accounts.
